Mary Felicia Ashcraft

Mary Felicia Ashcraft, 78, passed away at 12:13 P.M. on October 21, 2026. Mary and her husband, R. Patrick Ashcraft, lived in Cincinnati for 42 years, previously residing in Atlanta, Ga., and Louisville, KY. Mary and Pat were married for 48 years this past June 16th.

Mary was preceded in death by their daughter, Anastasia Marie, and her parents, Donald Ignatius Welch, and Paulene Antoinette (Kaziukiewicz) Welch, and is survived by her sister, Kathleen Jane Welch. Mary was a “cradle Catholic,” the most important thing in her life, after the gift of life itself, a gift which should never be denied to anyone, under any circumstances. Mary was also a dedicated supporter of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property, a lay-Catholic organization.

If Mary could speak to us now for just a moment, she would tell us all that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church, as the Catholic Church has always taught. She would go on to state that if you are not Catholic you need to become Catholic, and if you are a Catholic, you need to become a better one.

Mary’s Mass of Christian burial will be at Sacred Heart Church at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 27th, followed by her burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider Mass Stipends for the poor and holy souls in Purgatory, especially 30 Consecutive Gregorian Masses. For family, friends, and enemies Peace be with you, Mary; please remember us in your prayers before the Beatific Vision. And may we all be saved souls together in Heaven…

“How precious in the eyes of the Lord is the death of His children.” (Psalm 116:15)
