Martha Steed Seaman passed away peacefully at her Montgomery home, age 98. Preceded in death by her husband, William R. Seaman; son, John T. Seaman and daughter, Diana Seaman Steinbrueck.

Martha was very involved in community organizations in the greater Cincinnati area, primarily in the arts and horticulture. She was a member of the Friends of Music Hall, Cincinnati Opera Guild, Indian Hill Historical Society, American Daylily Society, Montgomery Beautification & Tree Commission, Taking Root Campaign, Twin Lakes Landscaping Committee and co-founder of the Cincinnati Flower Show. An avid reader, Martha belonged to the P&G book club for over fifty years. Many other organizations benefited by Martha's thoughtful support.

Her body has been cremated and, at her request, there will be no memorial service. Memorial donations may be made to the Cincinnati Symphony (1241 Elm Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202). Take a walk, admire the beauty of the natural world, care for an animal and know that Martha Seaman would be smiling.
