Martha H. Berger died on Saturday October 6 at the age of ninety-nine. Carl Berger, her husband of sixty-three years, died in 1998. Mrs. Berger was one of the founders of the Cincinnati Ballet Company. Her extensive training in ballet, music and art gave her a strong personal interest in the Company. She was a member of the Board for many years and was a lifelong supporter. An Indian Hill resident, Mrs. Berger was a member of the Queen City Club, the Camargo Club, and the Society of the Colonial Dames of America. Survivors include four daughters, Martha Bronson of Biddeford Pool, ME, Patricia Lisi of Escondido, CA, Laura Brecht of Borrego Springs, CA, and Amy Berger of Indian Hill; a son, Carl Berger Jr. of Lima, Ohio; nine grandchildren, and ten great- grandchildren. Her daughter Nancy Groll of Oceanside, CA predeceased her in 2011. Services will be held Friday, October, 26 at 10 a.m. at St Gertrude Church, 7630 Shawnee Run Road, Madeira.
