Marlene Mary Hanson Moore, cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, died on Friday, March 4, 2016 in Cincinnati, Ohio at home surrounded by family. Marlene suffered from complications of congestive heart failure and suffered a stroke on February 27. Marlene was 72. Marlene was the eldest daughter of Ambrose and Charlotte Hanson of Marine City, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lester Moore (2012), her sister Anita Hanson (2014), and her daughter Susan (1976). She is survived by her daughter, Anna Moore (Molly Sedmak), son, Maxwell Moore, brother, Craig Hanson, grandchildren, Nicholas Aube and Logan Moore, and niece and nephew, Amy Strutz (Pamela Jones) and Scott Strutz (Juanita Aviles). Marlene was known for her unusual sense of humor, commitment to family, and generosity. A celebration of her life will take place on March 19, 11:00 at First Unitarian Church of Cincinnati. Family and friends are invited to share memories at a reception following the celebration at her daughter's home.
