Marian G. Valerius (nee Gundlach) of Sycamore Township, passed-away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 after a brief illness, at the age of 90 years. She was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late Frederick A. Valerius, the devoted mother of Frederick M. (Joyce), Thomas A., Mark E. (Susan), Gregory J. (Debbie) and Steven J. (Cindy) Valerius, a loving grandmother of Jillian Shute, Tina Valerius, Kristy Valerius, Andrew Valerius, Jennifer Farfsing and Jeffrey Valerius, a dear great-grandmother of Rebecca Shute, Lucy Valerius, and Claire and Natalie Farfsing. She is predeceased by her siblings; Margaret Hackmann, Antoinette Doppes, Frederick Gundlach, Clarence (Bud) Gundlach and William Gundlach. She was born on January 30, 1921 in Cincinnati, to Frederick and Marie Gundlach. She married her husband Frederick on January 17, 1942. Marian was a graduate of Regina High School in Norwood, and was employed for many years by Mabley and Carew and Elder-Beerman department stores. Visitation will be on Monday, May 9 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 E. Kemper in Montgomery, from 9 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM.
