Margaret "Peggy" Evans passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022. Born December 4, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky, Peggy was the 4th daughter of Jack and Peg Kinney. Raised in Louisville, she attended the University of Kentucky and graduated in 1977 with a degree in nursing. She married her college sweetheart Joel Evans on August 27 1977, who survives her at home.

Peggy worked as an Emergency Department nurse at Cincinnati Children's Hospital for many years before raising her children and worked as a nurse at the office of Pediatric Associates of Cincinnati until her retirement in 2014. Peggy was known for her warm, welcoming demeanor, her sense of humor, her cheerful attitude, and was a loving wife, mother, friend, and colleague to many. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. She was especially proud of her children Matthew and Sara. She will be dearly missed by many.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 45 years Joel Evans of Cincinnati, her son Matthew (Erin) Evans of Seattle, WA, her daughter Sara Evans of Cincinnati, and her grandson Nicholas Evans, as well as 3 sisters Kathy, Christine, and Patty, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and older sister Barbara.

Visitation will be held at Gilligan Funeral Home (8225 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45236) on Wednesday December 14th beginning at 11AM and services will follow at 1PM with burial taking place at Gate of Heaven cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggy's name to Cincinnati Children's Hospital .
