Marcel Quizon Coronel, MD passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the age of 91. He was born in the Philippines to the late Ciriaco and Lagrimas (Quizon) Coronel. He is preceded in death by his wife L. Elaine (Taylor); sister Manolita Cobangbang. He is survived by his 4 children; Stuart (Vanessa) Hyden, Kim (Dirk) Coyan, Michelle Coronel and Marsha (John) Payton, also survived by five sisters and one brother. Loving grandfather of Emma Hidalgo and Chloe Hyden, Connor and Sydney Coyan, William and Ryan Payton. A special thank you to his caregiver Joan Guckiean and family. A private family service will be held on Thursday, May 5 at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
