Madeline Opal Smith (nee Moffett) Loving wife of the late Herbert Smith, devoted mother of Linda Schiesler and the late Rick Smith, and mother-in-law of Jim Schiesler and Diane Smith. Grandmother of Dawn Handorf (Tom), Brett Smith (Laura) and Scott Smith (Laura), and great grandmother of Jake Handorf, Chad Handorf, Lindsey Handorf, Maddie Smith, Lily Smith, Andrew Handorf, Max Smith, Luke Smith, Mallory Smith, Kristin Smith, and Maguire Smith. Survived by her younger sister Fern Gwinnup. Departed on October 28, 2014 at the age of 94. Madeline was a lover of family, flowers, antiques and all things beautiful. Visitation followed by a short service will be held Monday, November 3, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 5:15 PM at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45236. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, Blue Ash, or the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati.
