Madeline Penley Amos, 61, of West Union passed away unexpectedly December 21, 2020. She was born May 30, 1959 to the late Berman Penley and Madeline M. Penley in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she would call home for many years. 3012 Glenway was her childhood home where many Penley generations would grow up.Madeline loved the city but her heart wanted to be in the country; she loved to be in the garden barefoot and playing in her sister's creek. It didn't matter, she just loved nature and being with her family. She was a strong and dedicated mother who fought so hard for her kids. She treasured every moment she had with her sons. She was an amazing grandmother; they were everything to her. She was a wife, sister, aunt, cousin, friend. She was blessed to have so many friends in life; even if she didn't get to meet you in person, know that she cherished you still.Madeline is survived by her husband Edgar Amos III, and her ex husband Dale E Carmen, Sr. with whom she shared 3 sons, Dale E "Eddie" Carmen Jr., Matthew E. Carmen, and Jeremy E. Carmen. Madeline is also survived by her 5 grandkids, Ryan, Hannah, Isabella "Bella", Dale "Ed" and Madison "Maddie", her brothers and sisters, Berman "Jr." Penley, Anthony "Tony", Charles Penley, Penelope "Nell" Herbert and Debbie Dick, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.Visitation will be held December 30, 2020 from 11:30 to 12:30 at Gilligan Funeral Home 3671 Warsaw Ave Cincinnati Ohio 45205, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St Williams Church at 1:15pm, before being laid to rest at St Josephs Cemetery on Foley Rd.
