Louise Dumler Kepley, beloved mother, grandmother and champion golfer passed away on December 6, 2009 in Keswick, Virginia at the age of 67. Daughter of the late Martin H. Dumler and Jane Dillencourt Dumler, Louise was a resident of Cincinnati for over 50 years. She was predeceased by husband Keith Gregory Kepley and is survived by her children Keith G. Kepley, Jr., Alexander C. Kepley, Laura Kepley Brant and their spouses Tracy Moser Kepley and George Brant, her grandchildren Benjamin and Maximilian Kepley, her sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Kevin Gallen and nieces and nephews Jane Dumler Klare, Martin G. Dumler III, Adam Gallen, Amanda Eager and Nathaniel Gallen. Louise graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 1964. She was an active member of the Cincinnati Junior League and served on their Board of Directors. A life-long passionate golfer, Louise shot 10 holes-in-one and one double eagle. She played in several United States Golf Association National Amateur tournaments beginning in 1958 at the age of 16. When Louise was 52 she had the unique distinction of winning both the Ohio State Women's Amateur Tournament and the Ohio State Senior Women's Amateur Tournament. She was a four-time Greater Cincinnati City Women's Golf Champion and a twenty-time Club Champion at the Cincinnati County Club. Being proclaimed a "Cincinnati Legend of Golf" and her induction into the Summit Country Day School's Athletic Hall of Fame stand among her proudest achievements. Louise volunteered for several golf organizations including serving as the President and Chair of the Greater Cincinnati Women's Golf Association and as a course rater for Golf Digest. A 10am Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, December 14th at Saint Francis de Sales Church with Father Edward Jach officiating. Visiting hours are Sunday, December 13th from 5-7pm at Gilligan Funeral Home, 2926 Woodburn Avenue.
