Louis Kapourales, born in Alea, Greece, May 16, 1916, died suddenly in his home surrounded by his family on October 12, 2018. For over 102 years, Louis lived a full and wonderful life. His presence throughout Silverton for over 60 years, including at his landmark restaurant, the Marathon Inn, will be missed. He will be remembered for his love of family, church, and community. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Anastasia. Survived by his children Nora (Andrew) Papanicolaou, Joni (Jose) Porchia, Harry (Vivian) Kapourales, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, and nephew, John Kanelos, and many more nephews and nieces. Visitation at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Road, Thursday, October 18, 6:00-8:00pm with prayer service at 6:00pm. Funeral Service at Holy Trinity St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 7000 Winton Road, Friday, October 19, 1:00pm.
