Lorraine Thompson Files passed away on Sept. 18, 2016 at age 93. Born in Mankato, Minnesota and raised in Mt. Vernon, Indiana, Lorraine was a loving wife, grandmother, great grandmother and loving family member and friend. She was a long time resident of the Cinti. area, a graduate of the Univ. of Cinti. and a devoted teacher in the Cinti. public schools. Lorraine is predeceased by her mother and father, Leslie and Annie Thompson of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; and her siblings Patricia Sheehan, Katherine Weatherford, Geraldine Hoehns and Michael Thompson. She is also preceded in death by her special love, her caring and loyal husband (William) Courtney Files. Her grandchild Andrea Dennis also predeceased Lorraine. She is survived by her three daughters Lenora Eubank of Dayton, Ohio, and Patty Dennis and Linda Burke of Cinti. Attentive sons-in-law David Eubank, Dean Dennis and Dan Burke also survive her. Surviving Lorraine are grandchildren: Meghan Connelly, Mitchell Eubank, Kelley Burroughs and Allie Fackler and their respective spouses. Lorraine's surviving great grandchildren include Adeleigh Karoutchi, Ahnohn Eubank, Finnegan Burroughs, Brody Fackler, Elizabeth McGrath and Zoriah Connelly. Special family members Patricia Hunter, Edie Files and Arnold Weber survive her. Also surviving Lorraine are her numerous special nieces and nephews and many special friends. Lorraine loved to love others. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 24 at the Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Road from 9am until Funeral Service at 10am. In lieu of flowers, Lorraine's family asks that you please honor Lorraine's life by making a donation in Lorraine's remembrance to the "Madeira Schools Foundation, Attn: Andrea Dennis Memorial Scholarship, 7465 Loannes Drive, Madeira, Ohio 45243"; or to a charity of your choice.
