We lost such a kind, sweet, funny guy. Lawrence "Larry" David Weiner, aged 70, passed away in the early morning of Sunday, December 10, 2023. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 21, 1953, son of Sam and Anita (Gottlieb) Weiner.

Larry graduated from Walnut Hills High School in 1971, and University of Cincinnati in 1975. After school, he worked for many years at DHL and Citibank. More importantly, he was a loving dad, grandpa, brother, and friend.

Larry was jovial, quick to laugh, and loved a good joke. His positive presence, casual style (fashion inspired by Bill Belichick), and sense of humor made others feel at ease -- even dogs loved him! He rarely, if ever, was embarrassed, and never hesitated to engage with strangers, whether to ask a marathon runner in the middle of a race for directions, or to remark on a passerby's hat or socks.

He loved making the annual pilgrimage to Louisville for Thanksgiving where he would "dazzle" the table with his meandering stories that would have everyone laughing by the end (if he could remember the ending). Larry didn't care if you were laughing with him or at him, just that you were laughing. His friends and family will miss Larry's laugh, smile, friendly roasting, and most of all, his presence.

Larry was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Mike Weiner. He is survived by his children, Sarah Weiner, Joe Weiner (Lesley), and Nathan Weiner (Laura); his grandchildren, Marly and Aria; his brother Neil Weiner (Sandy); and his "sister"/good friend, Julie; along with nephews and cousins.

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, December 19th at the Back Porch (9626 Princeton Glendale Rd, West Chester, OH 45011) from 6 - 9pm. Casual dress (your favorite sweatshirt is encouraged), bring your memories to toast (and roast) the big guy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry's name to the American Heart Association .
