Lawrence "Larry" A. Rowe, Jr. passed away on April 2, 2022, at the age of 93. Larry was born in Clifton Forge, Virginia on March 1, 1929. He was the son of Mary Ethel Baker and Lawrence A. Rowe, Sr.

He was a graduate of Alderson High School (Alderson, WV.) and continued his education at The University of West Virginia in the ROTC program. He was an officer in the United States Air Force and stationed in Korea during the Korean War. After the war, he joined the Kroger Co. where he retired after 30 years of service.

Larry enjoyed hunting and was an avid outdoorsman, and was affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America. He was a champion competition shooter in pistol, Black powder, and shotgun. He won multiple awards including the Camp Perry Police competition. He was a member of several gun clubs, including the Fairfield Sportsman Association, where he was a past president, and instrumental in a new 50-yard Pistol Range. He was also a member of the Ohio Gun Collectors Association, and the Ohio Rifle and Pistol Association, where he also served as past president; Larry was a local spokesperson and Benefactor Member of the NRA, as well as a member of the Shriners. He also enjoyed dancing and was a great cook.

A loving husband and father, Larry leaves behind his four children: Ronald H. Rowe (Cincinnati, Ohio), LeeAnn Rowe Lefler (New Richmond, Ohio), Lawrence Douglas Rowe (Tampa, Florida), and Ann Rowe (Jacksonville, Florida), 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, April 8th 2022 at Gilligan Funeral Homes, 8225 Montgomery Rd. Cincinnati, Ohio 45236. Visitation 1:00-3:00pm followed by a brief service.
