IN LOVING MEMORY OF LAWRENCE ("LARRY") ALAN FLEMER

August 17, 1951 -- November 14, 2021

Lawrence ("Larry") Alan Flemer, aged 70, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2021 in the loving care of the staff of Optimized Senior Living in Lebanon, Ohio. Son of Donald and Hope (Horne) Flemer, Larry is survived by his son Dr. Matthew Flemer, and sisters Sarah Flemer and Deborah Flemer.

Larry was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, and upon completing his law degree at the Chase School of Law, became a practicing lawyer in 1980. Larry was a passionate advocate for his clients, especially those less fortunate, and is remembered for his high standards of professionalism at the Ohio Human Rights Commission, Remex Corporation, Dinsmore & Shohl, and Statman Harris & Eyrich.

Free time found Larry volunteering with the Boy Scouts, serving as a church deacon, serving on the boards of multiple charitable organizations, hiking or biking through the mountains, or tooling the country roads on his motorcycle or sports cars. Even with his busy life, however, Larry never lost his great passion for music. Pleasant conversation could always be found concerning a new artist Larry had just discovered, or memories of his favorite bands. As a bass player Larry was well known for his ready smile and steadying influence, including most recently as a member of Suits That Rock.

Larry's legacy was profound, and he will be missed dearly by his family, many friends, and local organizations.

A Memorial Service will be held for Larry on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Gilligan Funeral Homes, 8225 Montgomery Rd 45236 from 5:00pm-6:00pm, followed by a Gathering of Friends and Family across the road, at Hoppin' Vines, 8150 Montgomery Rd 45236.

Remembrances may be made to The Carnegie Arts Center in Covington, Kentucky, or to Hospice of Southwest Ohio.
