L. Elizabeth Matanguihan (nee Bausmith) passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26 at the age of 84. Born in Cincinnati, OH and adopted at age 7 by her loving parents, the late Robert and Elinor Bausmith. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Gregorio Matanguihan, Jr. and mother of Gregorio III, Michael, Maria (Robert) Ebel, Victoria (Mark) Morgan, Robert and John (Susan); cherished grandmother of Elizabeth, Maria and Gregorio IV Matanguihan, Elliot Ebel, and Madeline and Henry Morgan. Loving sister of Robert (Shirley) Bausmith. Also, survived by her great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Beth was a registered nurse, and it was while studying at Bethesda Hospital that she met the young resident doctor with whom she would share her life in marriage for 48 years. She will also be missed by her many friends, from those with whom she shared life-long friendships to those whom she met in her last few years.We are so grateful to Hospice of Cincinnati, Brookwood Retirement Community and to their compassionate staffs.Visitation will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, March 5, 2021 with a Catholic service to follow at 11:00 am at Gilligan Funeral Home (8225 Montgomery Road 45236). Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati - Blue Ash.
