Joseph "Jay" H. Jorling, Jr., age 77, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Hospice of Cincinnati. Mr. Jorling was a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel in the artillery. He served in active duty and the reserves. Surviving is his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann (Stephens) of 20 years. Father of James (Kathy Kirchner), Joseph (Nina), Jeffrey (Cindy Zurowick), and Jenny (Scott) Calcaterra. Step-father of Jennifer (Michael) Miller, Matthew (Cindy) Stephens, and Andrew (Michelle) Stephens. Grandfather to Dylan, Karly, Ellie, Patrick, Sophia, Dillon, Tiffany, Blake, Jacob, Calior, Jamie, Seth, Josie, and Gabriel. Brother to Mary Alice, Tom (Sandy), and David (Ann). Brother-in-law to Sheila (Jack) Stack, Bob (Marcella) Duermit, and Sandra (Bob) Meredith. Jay is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosemary (Dorney) after 32 years of marriage. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6th at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio. A service will be held at 10:00 a.m.on Saturday July 7, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1270 N. Broadway, Lebanon, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Joseph H.
