John Paul Holt, Jr, beloved husband of the late Cathleen (nee Roll); devoted father of Holly Schick, Eric Holt (Angela), Perry Holt (Melanie) and Andrew Holt (Sarah). Proud grandpa to nine grandchildren: Katie, Carson and Lauren Holt, Joe Schick, William, Frances and Gus Holt and Faith and Hunter Holt. Survived by cherished sisters Loretta Bracken (Charles ) and Leah Hungerford (Paul). Preceded in death by siblings Wanda Hassert (d. Pat) and Steve Holt.  Devout Catholic, peacefully passed over on September 16, 2025 at the age of 87 at Brookdale Kenwood.

Born in Ft. Knox, KY in 1938, Jack was a 1956 graduate of Elder High School and a 1958 graduate of Ohio Mechanics Institute. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1964. Jack began his career as a lab technician at Formica, before retiring from Procter and Gamble after 25 years.  He raised his family in Pleasant Ridge before moving to Montgomery in 2001.

Jack will be remembered for his deep commitment to his family and his Catholic faith. He was married to Cathy for 49 years and they both chose to live a simple life to ensure a Catholic education for their children. Never afraid of hard work, he instilled in his children a strong work ethic and to always strive to do right. He was an avid bike rider in his younger years, an excellent grill master and loved to belt out a good tune, even at Brookdale. But his greatest claim to fame is being an exemplary husband, father and grandfather.

Visitation at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd on Wednesday, September 24th from 9 am – 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at All Saints Church, 8939 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45236. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Archbishop Moeller High School
