John T. Morrissey, beloved husband of Lula Pittman Morrissey, survived by his children; Sean (Angela) Morrissey, Meghan (David) Sicilian, Brendan Morrissey and the late Liam Morrissey, and their mother Mary Pat Morrissey, and Patricia (James) Ard, Kenneth (Angela) Hubbard and Ramona Hubbard, loving brother of Rockne (Gail) Morrissey, Barbara (late Donald) Stautberg and Michael (Mary Anne) Morrissey, dear grandfather of Kelly, David, Daniel, Dominic, Maria, Marissa, Adam, Benjamin, Karla and Anna, dear great-grandfather of Staci and Sadie. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Susan (Leen) Morrissey. John was a 1951 graduate of Purcell High School and a 1955 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. His engineering career spanned 51 years and he recently retired from the University of Cincinnati as Senior Staff Engineer. Departed Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the age of 75. Visitation Thursday, January 22 at the Gilligan Funeral Home, 2926 Woodburn at Lincoln from 5 to 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2853 Erie Ave., Hyde Park.
