John R. Gutzwiller, aged 80, a long-time resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed into eternal rest on February 15, 2024. Born on March 21, 1943, in Cincinnati. John was a kind, generous and loving individual. He dedicated over 50 years of his life as a teacher at Roger Bacon High School, positively impacting the lives of countless students.  His legacy as an educator and family man will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved children, John (Kari) Gutzwiller, Matt (Jennifer) Gutzwiller, and Katie (Edward) Callahan; his adored grandchildren, Leah, Sam, Elizabeth "Elle", and Harper; step-grandchildren Jennifer (Dennis) Dalton; step-great-grandchildren Emma and Alison "Ali"; and his dear siblings, Jim (Lois) Gutzwiller, Janice (Dan) Buetsche, and Joyce Gutzwiller, and many nieces and nephews. John reunites with his beloved wife, Karen; his daughter, Margaret "Meg"; his step-grandson Michael; and his parents, John and Catherine.

The Gutzwiller family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects at the visitation to be held at Gilligan Funeral Home, Kenwood, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm on February 23rd. This will be followed by a Memorial Mass, celebrating John's life and legacy.

The family suggests that in lieu of customary remembrances, contributions be directed to a charity of one's choosing in memory of John.
