John M. Glenn M.D., age 87 of Cincinnati died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009. John was born May 19, 1922 to the late Dr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Glenn of Walnut Hills. Dr. Glenn graduated from Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He went on to specialize in Obstetrics and gynecology. He served in the US army as a physician. Dr. Glenn and his wife "Honey" and family were longtime Clifton residents. He was an active member of Annunciation Catholic Church. Dr. Glenn was a practicing Physician in obstetrics and gynecology in Cincinnati for almost 50 years and delivered over 10, 000 babies mainly at Good Samaritan Hospital. His medical practice was located on the west side of Cincinnati from the early 1950's until retiring in the mid 1990's to Naples, Fla where he continued to be a sports enthusiast, enjoyed playing golf, and traveling. Leaving behind his wife Bertha Glenn of Cincinnati and sister Helen Meyer of Akron, he also leaves his seven children; Cindy Huesman, Thomas Glenn, Joseph Glenn and Laural Cullion of Cincinnati, John Glenn of North Carolina, Sharon Glenn of California and Susan Glenn of Washington, as well as 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be on Monday, October 12 at Annunciation Catholic Church, Clifton, from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM.
