John Mark Dearwester (1956-2014) Passed away unexpectedly June 22, 2014 in his sleep. He will be sorely missed by his father, John, his three brothers; Jim, Mike and Tim, his favorite niece, Reagan, his three nephews; Michael, Christopher and Christian and his many friends. John grew up in Finneytown, where he went to grade school at St. Vivian, then onto St. Xavier High School (Class of '74) and finally to UC where he majored in Accounting and graduated in 1979. Shortly after that, he moved to Lake Tahoe and immediately fell in love with the area. He loved the outdoors and worked in several casinos. After about 25 years he decided to take a year off and work in a casino on a world cruise. He then spent some time in Scottsdale, AZ and finally ended up in Ft. Lauderdale, where he worked at the Hard Rock Caf. Visitation will be held Monday, June 30 from 11:30AM 1:00 PM at St. Gertrude Parish Center, followed by Mass at 1:00PM at the church. John will be laid to rest next to his loving mother, Joyce, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263.
