Joan Kessen Gusweiler, age 91, died peacefully in Howell Michigan with her five daughters and husband by her side. Joan lived her life in Cincinnati, Ohio, with her husband of 63 years, Edwin T. Gusweiler. She is survived by Ed and her five daughters, Jane Cooper (Steve), Joy Grembo (Stan), Jill Melton, Julie Slaughter (Howard) and Joanne Gusweiler (Richard Moseley), nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and sister, Lois (Larry) Panaro. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane Haney (Ralph) and son, Thomas Gusweiler. Joan was a loving mother and friend to many during her lifetime. Her rambunctious spirit and independent soul nurtured everyone in her world. Her friends were many and varied and held tightly for a lifetime. She was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and a lifelong Catholic who lived a giving life instilling the responsibility of service to her daughters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 10 at All Saints Church, 8939 Montgomery Rd. Viewing at 9am, followed by Mass at 10am.
