Joan Lee Ferguson (nee Mendenhall) age 87 passed away peacefully April 29, 2022 surrounded by her family.  She is loved and remembered by her husband of over 65 years, David H. Ferguson.  She was also the beloved mother of Laurie Anne (Husband Robert Parker), Mary Lynn (Husband Brian McHugh), John (Wife Karen Ferguson), and Rebecca (Husband John Hunter).  Along with six grandchildren; Jeffery (Wife Heidi), Timothy (Wife Brittany), Nathaniel, Ryan (Wife Kendra), Elizabeth, and Virginia, as well as two great-grandchildren; Theodore and James.

She was born in Southern California to Col John B. Mendenhall and Wyla L. Mendenhall in 1935.  She attended High School at Monrovia/Arcadia/Duarte (MAD) and Pasadena City College.  She met David fell in love and married in 1956.  Born in raised in Southern CA she also lived in California, New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

As a devout Christian she was very involved in Church as an organist, organizing Sunday school, special events and supporting ministries throughout her life.  She loved her family as she was a devoted wife, mother or Momee, and Nanee to her six Grandchildren and two Great-Grandchildren.  All her endeavors were in the benefit of her family and were always to the utmost whether it was sewing costumes, needle-arts, refinishing furniture, or entertaining.
