Jeanne Williams Fairfield, OH.- Ms. Williams, 57, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011 due to complications from diabetes. Born July 7, 1953 in Girard, Ohio, Jeanne was the daughter of Mary Jayne Williams and Dane Williams Sr., who passed March 1, 2011. A graduate of Notre Dame College, Ms. Williams also received a post-graduate degree from The University of Kentucky (at Northern Kentucky) in Social Work. Ms. Williams worked for Catholic Charities of Youngstown before moving to Southwest Ohio where she was a social worker for the Butler County Dept. of Job and Family Services. Jeanne was an avid reader, animal lover, and diabetes awareness advocate. She was an active member of FAVOR (Fairfield Volunteer Response) and belonged to the Red Hat Society. Ms. Williams is survived by her mother, Mary Jayne Williams and her seven siblings: Brian (Linda) of Humble, TX; Barbara (Sharif) Aboushahba of Orlando, FL; Dane Jr. (Cindy) of Maineville, OH; Carolyn of Hilliard, OH; Holly of Fort Mill, SC; Patrick (Debbie) of Austintown, OH; Michael of Charlotte, NC; and 7 nieces and nephews. Joint services for Ms. Williams and her father will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 5, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 10345 Montgomery Rd., Montgomery, OH. Family will receive friends following the service in the church hall.
