Jeanne Dossman Shoemaker, age 94, left this world on Christmas Eve to go home for Christmas.  She was a devout Catholic and did not want to miss another Holy Day of Obligation.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bill, and her two children Steve (Ellen) and Sandie Shoemaker East.  Also four wonderful grandsons Nick, Patrick (Emma), and Jack Shoemaker, and Charles Shoemaker East.

She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Marian, and her two siblings, Marilyn (Bob) Butts and Frank (Kay) Dossman.  She leaves many nieces and nephews.

Jeanne loved sports, playing softball into her 50s and tennis in her 60s.  She was proud of her STEM background and working at GE, and later went on to teach math and science to generations of Cincinnati students.  She left her mark on the world with the knowledge and strength she imparted to her children, grandsons, the students she taught, and her many friends.

Funeral services were held privately.  In remembrance of Jeanne's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Mercy McAuley High School, 6000 Oakwood Avenue, 45224.
