IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jane
Hazelton
December 27, 1933 – November 25, 2023
Mary Jane Hazelton (Jane) peacefully passed away Saturday, November 25th at the age of 89. Jane was born December 27, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Hazelton and brother, Robert Hazelton both of Cincinnati. She is survived by her dear childhood friend, Carol Heidt of Cincinnati and longtime friend, Janice Threm of California.
Jane was a 1952 graduate of Our Lady of Angels and received an associate degree from the University of Cincinnati. She worked for Ziv Productions (TV and radio), Revlon Company and retired from the Drackett Company. During her career, she held positions as an executive secretary and as a secretary in research and development and in marketing.
Her faith was a very important facet of her life. She was a longtime member of St. Gertrude Church in Madeira where she was in the choir, a member of the prayer chain, taught CCD for many years and volunteered for events such as the annual church festival.
Jane was very active in community theater where she designed sets, sewed costumes and occasionally acted. She used the skills she learned in set building to remodel and decorate her home in which she took great pride. Jane loved gardening and was happiest when working in her yard. She enjoyed spending time with and helping her friends and was an avid letter writer. She loved all animals, especially her own cats who were wonderful companions to her.
