James Morrison LeBlond Sr., lovingly known as Jim, passed away on February 14, 2026, due to complications from heart surgery. Born on December 31, 1962, in Cincinnati, Jim lived a life defined by devotion to family, faith, friendship, and service to others.
On July 26, 1986, Jim married the love of his life, Jeanne Inderlied LeBlond, in Chardon, Ohio. Together they built a marriage rooted in faith, partnership, laughter, and unwavering support. Jim is survived by his beloved wife Jeanne; his daughter Kate (Michael); his son Jay (Nicole); and his treasured grandchildren—Sophie (20), Hazel (12), Eleanor (10), Riley (8), and Liam (4), who were the absolute joy of his life. He is also survived by his brothers Bill (Tammy), Geoff (Cindy), and Charlie. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia, and his father, Charles.
Jim graduated from Miami University with a degree in Finance and went on to earn his MBA from the University of Cincinnati. He built a successful and respected career in the financial services industry, working at Union Central Life Insurance Company, Great American Insurance Group, and later with The Voss Group. Throughout his professional life, Jim was known for his integrity and genuine care for colleagues and clients alike.
An avid outdoorsman, Jim found peace and joy on the water with a fly rod in hand. He was a devoted member of the Buckeye United Fly Fishers, serving as President for three years and giving generously of his time and leadership. He was also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity, the Queen City Anglers Guild, and the Masons.
Faith played a central role in Jim’s life. He was a member of St. Paul Community Methodist Church and Indian Hill Church, where he actively served and supported others. Jim had a servant’s heart—always willing to lend a hand, offer guidance, or simply listen. He touched countless lives through his kindness, humility, and quiet strength.
Above all, Jim loved his family. He cherished time spent traveling, sharing stories, and especially making memories with his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable pride and happiness. Whether cheering from the sidelines, teaching life lessons, or casting a line on a quiet stream, Jim’s presence was steady, warm, and deeply reassuring.
Jim will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend—a man who lived his faith, loved deeply, and gave generously. His legacy lives on in the lives he shaped and the love he shared. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Date: Calling hours will be on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at St. Paul Community United Methodist Church, 8221 Miami Avenue, Madeira, Ohio. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm at the church. A light dinner will be served following the service.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St. Paul Community Preschool. Jim poured his heart and soul into our little preschool last summer, helping us prepare for the 2025–2026 school year. We believe it would make him so happy to know that contributions made in his memory will help support and enrich the 2026–2027 school year. Please make checks payable to: St. Paul CUMC and put preschool donation in the memo line. (Address: 8221 Miami Rd. Cincinnati, Ohio 45243)
