Dr. James Hoffhine Johnson of Kenwood , 82, passed away March 19, 2011 beloved husband of the late Patricia Johnson (nee Connery); father of Karen Suzanne (Dr. Eric) Baker of Greenville, SC, Mary Elizabeth (Peter) Schulz of Columbus, OH, James Bradley Johnson (Beth Perrin), Craig Brownlee Johnson and Bruce Connery Johnson of Cincinnati. Devoted Grandfather to Logan and Quentin Baker, Matthew, Sarah, and Katherine Schulz, Caroline and Owen Johnson (James B.). Brother of David M. Johnson of Walnut Creek CA. Jim was a Pediatrician in Newark, OH before moving to Cincinnati becoming a Physiatrist and Director of the Bethesda Oak Physical Medicine Dept. he was a veteran of the US Navy where he met his beloved Navy nurse wife Patricia. Their love and Love of their family and for all children were hallmarks of their lives. Jim was a lifelong advocate of children and children's literacy service as President of the Newark School Board and as a longtime literacy tutor in Cincinnati. He would like you to toast his reunion with his dear Patricia who passed away in 1992. Mass of Christian Burial at Good Shepherd Chapel, 10:00 AM Friday.
