James "Jim" Carl Ikeler, 84, of Lebanon, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024 while under hospice care. He was born on December 3, 1939 in Danville, Pennsylvania, of the late Harold and A. Geraldine (Lazarus) Ikeler. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sandra J. (Foust) Ikeler, the girl he met in the 7th grade. He started his career with AT&T in 1957 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

After several moves, he concluded his career in Cincinnati, Ohio where he retired after 44 years with the company.

Over the years, Jim had a variety of interests which included hunting, fishing, golf, and researching the family history. On any given weekend he could be found running errands with his basset hounds. As someone who valued and enjoyed spending time with the family, one of his greatest pleasures in life was watching his grandchildren grow up.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Timothy J. Ikeler (Susan), Huntsville, Alabama, one daughter, Angela J. Basselman (Randall), Cincinnati, Ohio, three grandchildren, Ashley S. Baker (Luke), Emma J. Basselman, Owen H. Basselman, one great grandson, Reid G. Baker, and one brother, Harold E. Ikeler. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela J. Ikeler, and sister, Barbara

In accordance with Jim's wishes, he will be cremated and buried in the family plot in Danville, Pennsylvania at the convenience of the family.
