James Lee Armitage, M.D., age 78, died at The Christ Hospital on August 11, 2010. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, D. Joanne Armitage (nee Clark), by his four children, Elizabeth Colohan (Bill), Ann Tierney (Chris), Clark Armitage (Leslie), Glenn Armitage (Jenny) and by his ten grandchildren, Durham , Sumner, Ted, Megan, Maddie, Glenn, Carly, Darcy, Michael and Lee. He leaves behind his sister Eva Ellis of Monroe, Ohio, his brother Dwight Armitage of Indianapolis, IN, their families, and many close relations, friends and colleagues. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Felsia Armitage and by his brother Glenn Armitage. Services will be held at Covenant-First Presbyterian Church (717 Elm Street in Cincinnati), including a visitation (Friday, August 20 from 4:30 to 8:00), and the funeral service (Saturday, August 21 at 10:30), with a reception for friends and family to follow. A graveside service for family will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery.
