Iva Wagers Young passed away from complications associated with her long battle against Metastatic Breast Cancer and IC on Friday, October 14th. She leaves behind her husband Robert and step-daughters Hannah and Adelaide. Iva was well loved and a cherished friend to many. She was known for her good humor and classic style. She had a wonderful ability to see the value of another's character and she chose her friends wisely. Iva had a great love for her dogs and for travel. There will be a memorial service in her honor at the Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236 on Friday the 21st of October from 6 to 8 pm. Then there will be a separate ceremony at her gravesite on Saturday, October 22 in Vandalia, Ohio at the Poplar Hill Cemetery at 12 noon followed by an "open-house" reception at the family home in Vandalia. Iva's Motto To Live By: Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, latte in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, "WOO HOO, what a ride!"
