Ian M. Pierce, beloved son of Dan & Lynn Pierce, twin brother to Drew Pierce, and cherished friend to many. Ian is also survived by his aunts & uncles: Barbara & Paul Gigler, Oakmont, PA, Debbie & Gary Sauers, Columbia, MD, Andrea & Wally Naymon, Richfield, OH, Michael Pierce, Glastonbury, CT, Jay & Erin Pierce, Tampa, FL, and Bill & Janet Pierce, Mason, OH. His many cousins include: Mary Jane Gigler Stryker (Aaron), Paul Jr., Gretchen, Amy, and Ethan (Karalee) Gigler, Brett, Craig, and Graham Sauers, Katie & Betsy Naymon, Jennifer Pierce Smith, Emily, Griffin, & Mackenzie Stryker. And his "surrogate grandma" Nancy Bernesser of Morrow, OH. Ian was the grandson of the late James & Lois Hooker of Pittsburgh, PA and the late Edgar & Nancy Pierce of Cincinnati, OH. Ian, a senior at Indian Hill High School, enjoyed ice hockey, qualified twice to compete at the DECA State Competition, and was a member of the National Honor Society. Most recently, he worked at Jaguar Land Rover of Cincinnati, and had just completed a marketing internship at Systems, Evolution, Inc. Ian was looking forward to attending Bentley University this August. Of utmost importance to Ian was his love of people and music. "Ian could speak so lovingly as if to make any friend the only person on this Earth who mattered to him" A celebration of Ian's life will be held at the Horizon Community Church on Saturday, April 7, 2012. Guests will be received from 9:00 am 12:30 pm at 3950 Newtown Road, Cincinnati, OH 45244. The family will have a private burial at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery thereafter. The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made payable to the Ian Pierce Memorial Scholarship Foundation, P O Box 43295, Cincinnati, OH 45243 which will benefit any Indian Hill School District student accepted to Bentley University and requiring financial aid in order to achieve their collegiate dream.
