Howard A. Hensley, beloved husband of the late Mary A. Hensley (nee Myers), Devoted father of Rick (Sonya) Hensley, Cherished grandfather of Todd (Megan) Little, great-grandfather of Talhia and Harrison Little, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Howard is preceded in death by his siblings; Gertrude Taylor, Jay Hensley, Bob Hensley and Al Hensley. Departed on June 5, 2015 at the age of 90. Howard was a graduate of Dayton Stivers High School, served as a tank commander in the Army, and was a printer-compositor for over forty years for Johnson-Watson Co., Standard Publishing, and Dayton Legal Blank. He loved to play golf for the fun and camaraderie and not the score; was a wine maker and won blue ribbons and best of show at the Ohio State fair; was a positive role model to family and friends; and will be missed by all whose lives he touched. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13th at 10:30 AM at Memorial Church, 2338 East Fifth St. Dayton, OH 45303. Family and friends may call at the church at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati (www.hospiceofcincinnati.org) or the Memorial Church, Memorial Fund.
