Obituary

FORSTER, Helen D. (nee Kiley) Died July 22, 2004 at Maple Knoll Village. Helen was born August 4, 1912, the daughter of Albert J. and Elizabeth (Topmoeller) Kiley. In 1937 she and Dr. Francis M. Forster were married. She is survived by her husband and their five children; Denis (Linda) of Kittery, Maine, Susan (Peter) Cole of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Kathleen (Richard) Marot Of Cincinnati, Mark (Kathy) Forster of Madison, Wisconsin and Gabriele (Timothy) Kopp of Beloit, Wisconsin. There are also six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Helen is also survived by her brother, William A. Kiley of Cincinnati and her sister, Betty Jane Kiley Luick of Cincinnati and Fort Lauderdale, Florida and her cousins, Jeanette Stermer and Carol Kruse, both of Cincinnati. Helen Forster is an alumna of the Academy of Mount St. Joseph (1930) and of the College of Mount St. Joseph (B.S. 1934) and enrolled in the program in social services at the University of Cincinnati. While at MSJ, she volunteered in social service at the Cincinnati Catholic Social Services and while at UC was with Hamilton County Welfare Department. Later she volunteered in the Boston City Hospital social service program. After the birth and maturing of their children, she again became involved in the various social service projects sponsored by medical society auxiliaries and by the Catholic church at both parish and diocesan levels. Helen played an active role in special projects such as the canonization of St. Elizabeth Seton, the founder of the Sisters of Charity. Helen was a life-time member of two Catholic Women's Clubs, that of Madison, Wisconsin and that of Cincinnati. Her efforts were characterized by her quiet, dignified and efficient dedication. Her concern was the resultant good- not the personal credit! Visitation will be at All Saints Church, 8939 Montgomery Road Monday 10 am until 11 am Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Dennis Jaspers. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, St. Bernard. The family requests that memorials be made to the Helen Kiley Forster Scholarship Fund at the College of Mount St. Joseph, 5701 Delhi Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45233.
