Gerald "Jerry" Kripp

Gerald J. Kripp, known to many as Jerry, passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on March 28, 1943, Gerald lived a life marked by devotion to family, service to country, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

Gerald attended St. Xavier, an important part of his early life and formation. In the mid to late 1960s, he served in the National Guard, answering a call to duty with quiet commitment. Outside of his work and responsibilities, he found lasting enjoyment in hunting and fishing, pursuits that reflected his love of nature and the simple pleasures of time spent outdoors.

Above all, Gerald will be remembered by those who knew and loved him best. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kripp;  and by Sharon, stepsons Darin and Todd Jones, and three grandchildren, who shared in the family circle he cherished. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary Kripp, and his father, John Kripp. As well as his brother Thomas Kripp. 

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Gilligan Funeral Homes, 8225 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236. Cemetery services will follow.

Gerald’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him, and he will be remembered with love, gratitude, and respect.
