George A. Leugers, 59, native of Cincinnati and longtime resident of Tampa, passed away on Nov. 6, 2007. Beloved husband of Pamela Shellenberg Leugers; beloved father of sons Benjamin Leugers, Alex and Lori Neu Leugers; beloved son of June and George (deceased) Leugers of Cincinnati, OH; beloved brother of Ann Leugers Cerone, Ted and Trisha Leugers, and Jerry and Patty Leugers; beloved uncle of Brian, Sean, George, Shannon, Kelly, Patrick and Conrad Leugers, and Michelle Cerone. Remembered and loved by Pamela's family, mother-in-law Barbara and Arthur (deceased) Shellenberg, Kathy and Mike Ryan, Jill and John White, Kay Shellenberg Keller (deceased) of Piqua, OH; Marge McHale of PA; Julie and Mark Pitts of Naples, FL; Mark Shellenberg, and Tom and Laurie Shellenberg of Tampa, FL; John and Denise Shellenberg of Augusta, GA; and many other family members and friends. George proudly served as a Sergeant for the United States Army 101st Airborne in Vietnam. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. George and Pamela were married in Piqua, OH in 1972 and moved to Tampa in 1973. He worked for Coopers and Lybrand, was CFO of Curtis Construction and subsequently formed his own CPA firm. George was a longtime CPA, motorcycle enthusiast and sailor at Davis Islands Yacht Club, where he served as a past Commodore and Treasurer. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, December 15 at Good Shepherd Church, 8815 E. Kemper Rd., Montgomery. Reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation for The Children's Hospital, 2700 W. Dr. MLK Blvd., Suite 310, Tampa, FL. 33607, in memory of George Leugers.
