George Albert "Al" Stevenson, 89, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, in Sharonville, Ohio. At the time of his passing, he was under the care of the wonderful people and medical staff of Hospice of Cincinnati. He was residing in the home of his son, Tom (Margaret) Stevenson and he passed into Eternal Life while surrounded by Tom and his entire family as well as beloved family relation, Kate (Jim) Bachmann. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Ann Stevenson (nee McDunn). The two were married in Cleveland, Ohio (their city of birth) on May 16, 1959. He is also preceded in death by his dear brother John (& Donna) Stevenson, dear brother Bud (& Carol) Stevenson, dear brother-in-law Jack McGreal, and dear brother-in-law Patrick McDunn. He is survived by his sister, Nora McGreal (nee Stevenson); his sister-in-law, Rosemary McDunn (nee Candella); his three children, Thomas (Margaret) Stevenson, Cathleen McFadden and Terence Stevenson. Also, by his five grandchildren - Michael, Megan, and John Stevenson; Ryuke and Saisen Stevenson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Al's strong faith and interest in helping others led to his long-term involvement in the Elder Council of the Knights of Columbus at St. Gertrude Parish, including serving as Grand Knight for a portion of this time. Al was the first person in his family to attend college. He graduated from Kent State University in Journalism after which he went on to report for the Akron Beacon Journal; he subsequently joined the General Electric Company in Nela Park, Ohio in Employee Relations.

After retiring from GE in 1993, he went on to pursue his golfing passion by working and playing at Eagles Nest Golf Course, where he was part owner. His other loves included sailing and spending time with family.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Al's name to: Hospice of Cincinnati and The Alzheimer's Association.

Visitation, 12pm Thursday Nov. 9th at St. Gertrude Church followed by Mass at 1pm.
