It is with great sadness that the family of Emilio Arango Nuez announces his passing at the age of 87, on August 13, in Cincinnati. Born in Havana, Cuba; graduate from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio and the University of Havana, Cuba, he led a very productive professional life as an attorney in New York City, Caracas, Venezuela and as General Counselor for Chiquita Brands International in Cincinnati from where he retired in 1992. Was an avid collector of antiques, enjoyed attending the opera and ballet with family and friends. The brother of the late Rosa (Nena) Arango and husband of the late Sylvia Fromm Arango, he is survived by his children, Sylvia Arango, Vivianne Arango, and Carolina Arango-Ruiz; his grandchildren, Alexandra Sanchez, Eric, Alejandro, and Elena Ruiz, and his good friend David Wellington. He will be remembered always. A memorial mass will be on Saturday, August 23 at Saint Rose Church, 2501 Riverside Drive in Cincinnati at 10 AM. Funeral services will be held at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
