Elizabeth "Betty" Lyons (nee Bredestege), beloved wife of the late James Dennis Lyons, went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2024 at the age of 85.  Devoted mother of Patricia (Steve) Brickner, Dennis (Teresa) Lyons and Theresa (Pete) Triantafilou.  Cherished grandmother of Michelle (Adam) Rose, Casey (Alexis) Brickner, Peter (Miranda), Brett (Devan), Marina and Nathan Triantafilou, Jimmy and Dylan Lyons.  Loving great-grandmother to Marlowe and Julian Rose, Ana, Mila and Peter Triantafilou and Stevie Brickner.  She is survived by her brothers, Larry and Chuck Bredestege, and sisters, Velma Lough and Paula Hartinger.  Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Velma Bredestege, brothers Joseph, Edward, George and Frank Bredestege, and sisters Lois Herling and Mary Alice Roeder.

"Beautiful Betty" and her husband Denny were inseparable and a true love story.  They loved vacationing and especially going on cruises.  Betty adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Everyone who knew her loved her.  Betty was always the life of the party and put sparkle in all of our lives.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 6 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Gilligan Funeral Home, 3671 Warsaw Avenue, Cincinnati, OH.  Funeral Service will be held at St. Lawrence Church at 10:00 a.m., 3680 Warsaw Avenue.  Burial immediately following at the New St. Joseph Cemetery, 4500 Foley Road.  Memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association.
