Elaine Plogman, 86 of Montgomery, died Sunday, Dec 8 2024 after suffering from Parkinson's and dementia for several years.
Elaine (nee Huninghake) was born and raised in Oakley, (Cincinnati) and later in Silverton where she lived with her mother Mary, father Elmer and siblings Robert, Gary and Bruce. Elaine attended Regina High School and Edgecliff College in Cincinnati. She married Robert L Plogman of Silverton in 1963 and had a son David R Plogman in 1964.
Elaine was a highly skilled artist her whole life, but specialized in contemporary fiber art quilting for about the last third of her life. She produced beautiful geometric art quilts, many have been exhibited in international shows and published in magazines and books.
Elaine was a talented, loving and gifted person and will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son David, his wife Sara, Grandchildren Edward and Audrey, her 3 brothers, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15 at 4:00 pm at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd. in Kenwood. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday Dec 16th at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Church, 8815 E Kemper Rd. in Montgomery.
