Elaine Agnes Foley (nee Shiels), of Cincinnati and Conway, MI, beloved wife of the late Harry D. Foley, loving mother of Kathleen F. (Dr. Joseph) Luttmer, Elaine F. (Robert, Jr.) Sicking, Martha F. (Dr. Mark) Helmick, Margaret F. Davis, all of Cincinnati, OH , Barbara F. (Claude) van den Broeck of Paris, France and Harry D. Foley Jr., (Margaret) of Evanston, Ill, devoted grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 4. Went peacefully to be with the Lord Friday, August 4, 2006 at age 96. Born in 1910 to Ida and Charles F. Shiels. She graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Clifton, and from the College of the Sacred Heart, Clifton, where she was honored as most outstanding student and athlete. Mrs. Foley joined Proctor and Gamble as a member of their first Market Research Department. In 1940 she married Harry D. Foley, president of Foley Construction Co. Visitation Monday, August 7 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Gilligan Funeral Home, 2926 Woodburn Ave. at Lincoln.
