Edward F. Cummings, age 74, of Montgomery, OH., left his family and friends on January 25, 2021.Ed was born on October 29, 1946, to Helen (nee Swanton) and Edward Cummings Sr., of Staten Island, NY.Ed graduated from St. Peter's High School for Boys, received his Undergraduate Degree from Iona College and his Master's Degree in Business Administration from Baruch College. Prior to attending college, Ed served in the military branch of the Army during the Vietnam War where he was stationed in Germany. Ed began his long and lucrative career in business and finance at Brooklyn Union Gas Company; became Vice President of J.P. Morgan Bank in New York, N.Y.; and continued his career as Vice President of Fifth, Third Bank in Cincinnati, OH, until retiring in 2010. After retiring, Ed and his wife, Judi, became avid travelers within the U.S., Canada, and abroad. In 1995 Ed and Judi, became Middletown, NJ, residents and in 2004, they settled in Montgomery, Oh.Ed enjoyed the challenges of Jeopardy & crossword puzzles; was a history buff; and read books and newspapers daily. Ed volunteered for the SPCA, Children's Special Olympics and the Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.Ed is survived by his wife of 26 years, Judith (nee Rutkowski), sister, Dorothy, brother-in-law, Christian, and nieces, Julianne and Melissa Santospirito. In 2019, Ed was predeceased by his younger brother, Joseph Cummings.
