Obituary

Ed Stenger was the first out of five children born to Norbert and Loretta Stenger on August, 15th 1935 in Cincinnati, OH. He graduated from Roger Bacon High School, and attended the University of Cincinnati. He retired from General Electric as a Systems Analyst after a 41 year tenure. He was married to Jean Stenger (Gallagher) for 31 years, who preceded him in death in March, 1987. Together they had seven children, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Ed was a former EMT volunteer for the Blue Ash/Montgomery Life Squad. He was a devout and active member at St. Vincent Ferrer Church whereby he assisted fellow parishioners as a Eucharist Minister and a driver. He also spent time teaching other seniors computer skills at the Sycamore Senior Center as well volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and at Church Bingo/Festivals. Some of his interests and hobbies included; bowling, bunco/card parties with his cousins/brother and sisters, computer technology and reading. Much of his time was devoted to raising and providing for his family and the following words describe our father the best: Our Dad was strong in character When times did test his faith; He stayed steadfast and sturdy, Trusting in God's grace. Our dad was wise and caring, Strong but gentle, too; And there's nothing like God's blessing Of an earthly father, you. (Adapted from T. Tilley) Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, Whose confidence is in Him (Jeremiah 17:7) Donations/Memorials can be made to: Habitat for Humanity St. Vincent Ferrer Church Catholic Mass in lieu of flowers
