Dorothy Boyd Ringel, born November 23, 1930 in Rayland, OH, departed June 28, 2020 at the age of 89. Preceded in death by her parents John Thompson Boyd and Emma Weiskircher Boyd, brothers Robert Bruce Boyd, John Thompson Boyd, Jr, and her son David Ringel, leaves behind brother William Boyd (Patricia), her beloved children Henry (Mona) of Frisco, TX, Richard (Kerry) of Richland, WA, Stephen (Joan) of Cincinnati, OH, Kathleen Nelson (Troy) of Bradenton, FL, and Thomas Ringel of Cincinnati, OH, as well as 12 grandchildren, Delaine, David, Jennifer, Regina, Adam, David, Lauren, Brayden, Jessica, Jenna, Austin, and Cameron, 11 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, due in July.Dorothy graduated college from Steubenville, now Franciscan University, at the top of her class, where she enjoyed her time as Homecoming Queen, President of Chi Sigma Sorority, and as a Class Officer. After graduation, Dorothy spent her professional time as an English and History teacher at Live Oaks for over 20 years.She is a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who was always there for her family, in the good and difficult times. She will be very missed.
