Dorothy A. (ne O'Kane) Luebbers, devoted wife of the late Honorable Joseph A. Luebbers; loving mother of Joelle Luebbers (David Levine), Dr. Mark Luebbers, Ann Luebbers (Joseph Hardiman), Honorable Jody Luebbers (Brian Boyer), and John Luebbers (Kristina Henkes); adoring grandmother of Steven and Jeffrey Levine, Joseph and John Hardiman, Maggie and Michael Boyer, Monica, Lauren and Jessica Luebbers, and Benjamin and Matthew Luebbers; and sister of the late Mary Irene Nobis. Mrs. Luebbers passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at her home. She was a loyal member of St. Saviour Parish since 1974 and a graduate of St. Catherine College of St. Paul, Minnesota. Mrs. Luebbers was a dedicated registered nurse, and had been employed as a public health nurse and with the Visiting Nurse Association. She gave freely of her time, having volunteered at Hospice of Cincinnati and St. Vincent de Paul. In addition to her deep faith and her role as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was also a passionate caregiver, having provided medical care to those less fortunate, and in particular to those needing care and assistance in our inner city. Visitation will be held at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, 45236 on Friday, January 12th from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be at the St. Saviour Parish, 4136 Myrtle Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236 on Saturday, January 13th at 10:00 a.m. The family would appreciate memorial contributions in their mother's memory be made to either St. Vincent de Paul or to Hospice of Cincinnati.
