Dorothy P. Hasselbeck (nee Kelly), a lifelong resident of Madeira, OH peacefully passed away at age 96 years on December 18, 2021 at Ohio Living Llanfair.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband William and her son Gary. She leaves behind her daughter Lynn Wendel (Ron), her daughter in law Claire Hasselbeck Rummel (Oscar), grandsons Jason (Dawn) and Mark (Ben) Hasselbeck, 3 adoring great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was born at home in Butler, Ky to Elizabeth & James Kelly on June 22, 2025. Her family eventually moved to Covington KY. After marrying Bill Hasselbeck of Cincinnati, they built a home in Madeira,OH where they raised their two children. Dot worked as a bookkeeper for Stacy Plumbing and Heating and International Printing Company before retiring and spending her winters in Bonita Springs, FL. She remained in her beloved home for 70 years until she moved to Ohio Living Llanfair at the age of 92.

When asked her favorite things to do, Dot would answer that it was spending time with her family and friends. Anyone who crossed her doorstep became family. Lynn's friends remember her as the neighborhood "mom" and her grandsons recall that she was always ready with smiles and giggles to play and always had a stash of their favorite treats. When her great grandchildren arrived, that same loving attention was showered on them.

Dorothy's family wishes to thank her nephew Jim Hanks who routinely visited to help with household tasks and errands or excursions. Even when Covid restricted visits, he saw to it that she was never without her powdered doughnuts! We also wish to thank the employees of Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice and Ohio Living Llanfair for their kindness and loving care.
