Donald A. Jostworth, Sr., beloved husband of the late Ann (Becker); devoted father of Donald A. Jr. (Joyce) and Steve (Joan). Loving grandfather of Jaime (Bo) Hyrnak, Julie (Rob) Kramer, Steve (Amanda), Kim (Gary Davis), Kerry and Andy Jostworth and dear great-grandfather of eleven. Also survived by his sister, Rosemarie Niemeyer, sisters-in-law Rosemary Becker and Betty (Bob) Thoss and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was resident of Western Hills Retirement Center, and passed away July 29, 2016 at age 87. A graduate of Elder High School ('47), Don played baseball in the Cincinnati Reds minor league organization. For many years, Don was active in St. Lawrence Church and School where he served as an usher at Mass and was a founding member of the St. Lawrence Athletic Association. He coached many sports at the elementary school and in knothole baseball. Don also was a past president of the Price Hill Old-Timers Baseball Club and a member of their Hall of Fame. Upon retirement from Western Southern after a career in insurance sales, Don immersed himself in the lives of his six grandchildren and was a constant fan, attending their activities and sporting events, sometimes even assisting as a coach. Don's greatest pride and joy were his sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Visitation Friday, August 5 at the Gilligan-Siefke-Grueter Funeral Home, 3671 Warsaw Avenue, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
