Donald Ray Burklow, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and veteran passed away on December 22, 2018, at age 82. Born on June 5th, 1936, he graduated from Bosse High School, Evansville, Indiana to Thomas Auvle and Cliffie Sunshine Burklow. He enlisted in the US Army the following year and was subsequently assigned to Yongsan Garrison, Seoul Korea. There, he met and married Kyung Ai Chae, the most beautiful woman he had ever met. They married, started a family, and returned to the States. While he had a number of jobs, what he was most proud of was receiving a commission in the Army Reserve after receiving his bachelors degree from the University of Evansville. He retired as a Major in 1989. He then retired from the trucking industry and moved from Evansville to Cincinnati in 2011. He is survived by his children Tom Burklow, M.D. (Carolyn), and Kathy Burklow, Ph.D (John Berlier); his grandchildren Emily, Elliott, Grace, and Claire. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Chae who passed away on November 7th of this year. Service has been held.
