Delia Tighe (McDonagh) passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, April 24 in Montgomery surrounded by her six children; she was 91. Beloved mother of Sabina (Tom) Streng of Grand Haven, MI, John (Ellen) Tighe of Nashville TN, Mary (Tim) Cronin, Patricia Ash, Peter (Jenny) Tighe and Michael (Debbie) Tighe. Loving sister of Sarah (Sally) Ludden of Belclare, Ireland, Sr. Frances McDonagh, OSU of Maplemount, KY, Eileen McDonagh of Ballinsloe, Ireland and Sr. Mary Patrick McDonagh of Maplemount, KY. Also, her sister-in-law Delia McDonagh of Belclare, Ireland. Cherished grandmother of 21: Tom, Chris, Ed, Bob, Kathleen, Jennie and Sarah Streng, Rob and Conor Tighe, Colin, Caitie, Liam and Kieran Cronin, Kevin, Chris and Kathleen Ash, Jonathan, Caroline Delia and Daniel Tighe, Andrew and Laura Tighe. Great-grandmother to Jackson, Adam, Maddy, Lauren, Ashley Delia, and Kyla Streng. Preceeded in death by her parents John McDonagh and Bridget Collins McDonagh, her husband of 44 years, Peter Tighe; her siblings, Mary Donohue, Julia, Michael, William, Margaret and Fr. Jarlath McDonagh, O.F.M. Conv.; her brother-in-laws, Michael Ludden and John Donohue, her sister-in-law, Rita McDonagh and her son-in-law Thomas Ash. Visitation Thursday, April 26 from 5-8pm at Gilligan Funeral Home, 8225 Montgomery Rd. at Galbraith.
